My apologies for being a day late...On Fridays, I like sharing something about Hawaii to inspire everyone to do family activities. One of the things I enjoy doing with my family is hiking. You can spend time together while getting your exercise on. My daughter recently tried the Koko Head hike with me, and me thinking she'll whine half way up, she was to my surprise, a trooper and she cheered me on shouting "Come on mom, you can do it, you're almost there!". I think I need her to come hiking Koko Head with me all the time so that she can encourage me to make it to the top of the yes - very steep 1050 steps! Kids definitely have way more energy than we do! It is a bit dangerous for little ones though. A trail that I would recommend for younger ones to start out at is Makapu'u. It's "not really" a hike but a nice & mellow walk up along beautiful scenery that leads up to a gorgeous view of the ocean and rabbit island. Have a nice + fun weekend!
