Boy, was it hot this weekend but the weather was absolutely beautiful to go to the beach or to do something outdoors. Yesterday my daughter and I relaxed at our Townhouse pool. After our fun in the sun we decided to get a cool treat. We stopped by a hidden little hole in the wall shave ice spot in Palolo (off of 10th Avenue) called "My Kitchen". They serve shave ice as well as a few local slash Japanese dishes. I love their shave ice because the ice is fine and and their mango syrup is made from real mango puree which makes it much tastier and yes, healthier. We always get their mango or lime and vanilla. The owners are Japanese and they are the most adorable, sweetest couple. I love supporting small local businesses!

Monday Good Eats - Yogurstory
I got to visit another cute cafe this weekend! Yogurstory, I hear got their unique name because it was supposed to be a Yogurt Cafe turned Breakfast + Lunch Cafe slash yogurt bar. They have a simple and modern decor and menu names such as Red Velvet Carpet Waffles and Fat Pig Fried Rice which includes 3 different types of pork. Delightfully-licious!

Pot of Cuteness
If you love breakfast food or cutesy Japanese cafes, then you must try Cream Pot. You get the feel of eating in a Japanese slash French style little restaurant right in the heart of Waikiki. I was tickled the first time I went to Cream Pot with my girlfriends. I HEART everything about this little place. Not only do i love their sweet and cozy ambiance, but their food is really good too. The waffles with bananas and hash browns are always my favorites.

Let us eat CUPCAKES!!
Now that I finally get to relax after our fun filled Cupcake Event this past Saturday, I thought I would treat myself to some yummy cupcakes from my favorite place, Cake Couture (Aina Haina Shopping Center). Their cupcakes are consistently luscious and moist and it always hits my "sweet" spot! With a different menu everyday including flavors like Dreamsicle, Chocolate Mint, and Cookies & Cream, I always seem to get the chocolate for me and the red velvet for my daughter! My top three would have to be:
Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Key Lime Pie! Yummy for my tummy!
